The Korea International Mediation Centre (KIMC) was established in September 2020 as a non-profit corporation registered at the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Republic of Korea. The KIMC serves primarily business users rather than legal users by supporting the provisions and spirits of the United Nations Convention on International Settlement Agreements Resulting from Mediation (Singapore Convention on Mediation). The KIMC intends to promote a better understanding and a more frequent use of mediation as a method for amicable dispute-settlement. The KIMC also provides education programs for lawyers and non-lawyers in order to become a qualified mediator and a socially responsible citizen. As a facilitator for international commercial mediation, the KIMC actively collaborates with other mediation centers and ADR institutes.
